2nd Weekend - Brule shore

May 20th to 23rd, 2011 - Sunset Watch Campground, Brule Point

Technically, I only spent 2 of the 3 nights of the long weekend at this campground.  I went to Oxford Friday night to spend some time with some good friends and go yard sale hunting on Saturday!   Can you say rain, rain, rain!!  It rained most of the night and was cool.  Most of the yard sales were cancelled but did manage to get some forks for the camper.  Went back to Brenda and Eds for Lunch and then headed to the campground

Very nice campground, well looked after!  The have a fair amount of seasonal campers there but they are all great and very friendly!  Great campground if you have kids.  Lots for them to do!

Below is an example of what the winter has given them.  Lots of coastal erosion!  Real shame!

Although we did not really have that much sun, the campground was appropriately named.

Wind farm on Nuytby Mountain.

Weather:  Arrived on Saturday after it rained most of the Friday night and the whole day on Saturday.  Temperature did not get above 11 or 12 in the day time and at night it went down to 4 or 5 degrees.  brrrr Sunday was about the same weather with the sun peaking out just a little more but not much!  Still had a fire both nights.

Cost:  the 2 nights taxes in: $72.00 even.
